Tahoe Alphorn Experience
Palisades Tahoe 1960 Olympic Vly Rd, Olympic ValleyThe purpose of this alphorn gathering will be to experience playing alphorns in a group setting in the Lake Tahoe area. There will be an emphasis on playing musically and listening to the group for cohesion and timbre. We will be practicing playing in the traditional way with no conductor. You do not need to own an alphorn to participate in this event! There will be alphorns available for rental for a fee of $80. Thursday, October 3rd: 2:00pm-4:30pm -
2nd International Alphorn Meeting in the Netherlands
Rijssen - Camping Markeloseweg 94, RijssenAt this meeting, we practise a lot and cover new things. At the end of the day, we organize a concert in the city center with all the participants. We introduce the instrument to the audience and explain what it is used for, how it is built and how it is played. Many people know nothing about the alphorn.
