Castelgrande Bellinzona Salita Castelgrande 18, Bellinzona, SchweizListening to the alphorn is not a typical tradition of Italian Switzerland, even if in recent years in Ticino about a hundred people play this instrument with great passion. The alphorn group "Corni dal Generus", in precious collaboration with the group "Nüm dal Corno", are preparing the fourth Alphorn Festival in Ticino, in the picturesque setting of the medieval castle "Castelgrande in Bellinzona" (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The festival also includes a competition where the alphorn players can perform individually
Tahoe Alphorn Experience
Tahoe Tahoe City, California, USAWe are excited to announce that we will be having an alphorn gathering in Tahoe this coming October! This will be an inaugural event that will hopefully repeat annually. Here is the schedule: Friday, October 6th: 2:00pm-4:30pm - meet-n-greet with alphorns (Location TBD) Saturday, October 7th: 9:30am-11:30am - morning playing session (Location TBD) 1:30pm-5:30pm - field trip to Donner Lake Overlook (weather permitting) Possibility of splitting into two groups with the option of a short hike Sunday, October 8th: 10:00am-12:30am

International alphorn meeting in Rüthen
