The Northwest Alphorn Workshop

Join us on Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25 for a gathering of alphorn players in the beautiful Bavarian themed town of Leavenworth, WA. Here are some highlights:

• The event will be held at a private river-front park with lots of open space and close to town.
• Players of all abilities welcome, with a „Beginners‘ Circle“ offered.
• Professional instructional staff
• Opportunities for private lessons by professional players (subject to fee)
• Alphorn Market: opportunity to purchase horns, mouthpieces and music
• Rental horns available (limited number!)
• The workshop weekend is part of Leavenworth’s annual International Alphorn Festival. There will be many opportunities for public performances.

Schedule note: Thursday, May 22, is an optional pre-workshop day, with opportunities for private lessons, checking out the alphorn market, and a late afternoon /evening Meet ’n Greet. Hope to see you there!

• This year, we are honored to host the first annual gathering of the Alphorn Association of North America (AANA). This organization endeavors to connect players and organizations from throughout North America, and they have already demonstrated substantial support for our event.
