Press release Alphorn-Montage 2025

The Alphorn-Montage is being held in Burgdorf for the third time this year. From May 12 to October 27, a concert will take place every Monday at 7 p.m. at a beautiful sound location.

A total of 25 concerts are held over the summer semester. Various formations perform, presenting alphorn music in all its diversity, from traditional melodies to entertaining and modern styles.

Wood meets iron

The opening concert on May 12, 2025 will take place in front of the Bernhard Luginbühl Museum. The Lisa Stoll Alphorn Quartet will be playing. Lisa Stoll, probably the best-known alphorn player in Switzerland, is a true virtuoso on her instrument. Under her direction, traditional and entertaining alphorn compositions written by the Burgdorf alphorn player Patrick Kissling will be performed.

The artist’s iron montages can be admired in front of and inside the Bernhard Luginbühl Museum (old slaughterhouse at Metzgergasse 15). He even made an alphorn montage himself and was very fascinated by the alphorn. After the concert, the museum will open its doors and invite concert-goers to take a tour and enjoy an aperitif.

Admission is free – a collection will be taken.
In case of bad weather, the concert will be moved to the nearby Kulturhalle Sägegasse (Sägegasse 17).
