The Büchel is considered the little brother of the alphorn. Technically more demanding to play, its sound exudes a fascinating roughness. Melodically, we take a slightly different approach to the alphorn: the Büchel can be played in several voices, but it is also perfectly suited as a call and communication instrument in a simple sense, even without notes.
