Profession: Typesetter, proofreader, estimator/order processor in Bern, TS Printing Industry Bern.
1981 Moved to the Engadin with his wife Ursina and our four children, publishing director, now retired alphorn enthusiast.
Music: Hand organ lessons as a schoolboy, member of a youth band (trumpet), piano lessons as an adult until today, member of the St. Moritz Chamber Choir, conductor of a mixed choir. I love classical music and Romansh folk songs.
Alphorn since 2009, starting with an instrument built in Ballenberg (Matthias Wetter), followed by alphorns from Tobias Bärtschi. Courses with Matthias Kofmehl and Balthasar Streiff.
Compositions: approx. 150 pieces for alphorn (mostly for 3 voices), 2 full-length concerts for children’s choir, alphorn, flute, violin and piano, compositions and arrangements for alphorn and piano/organ, suite “Die Planeten” for alphorn and piano, composed together with the pianist Stefano Sposetti.
I am an amateur musician and receive invaluable support and encouragement from friends, confidants, professional musicians and my family.
