Alphorn day at Bannalp

Alphorn in the Alps proposes this special alphorn introduction course in the Swiss alps.

Spend an unforgettable day in the Swiss Alps and immerse yourself in the magical soundscape of the mountains. From Zurich we will take you to the most beautiful places and show you how to play the alphorn. In a short time you will learn the basics of alphorn blowing – no previous musical knowledge is required. Listen to your breath turn into music and the rocks begin to sing. It’s great fun! Unlike other alphorn courses, we introduce you to the iconic Swiss instrument in its natural habitat. For the day we provide an alphorn for all participants.

Bannalp is a hidden gem and the perfect destination for an alphorn day. After a one-hour drive to Oberrickenback, a gondola lift takes us to the Chrützhütte at 1718 meters above sea level. We can linger there, play at Bannsee or hike to the spectacular Alp Oberfeld (45 minutes from Bannsee, 250 meters high), famous for its echo. You can bring your own lunch or take it in one of the restaurants in the area. Note: Bannalp is also suitable for two-day trips with an overnight stay at the Chrützhütte; couples and small families can also book a room at Alp Oberfeld. Price includes gondola ticket.
